fom the Principal
Education at Fort Middle School provides
an opportunity for all students to learn in an atmosphere of instruction
and support directed toward nurturing the whole child. Our staff believes
that the school, the family, and the community must all work together for
student success. Differences in learning styles should be incorporated
into the instructional practices and learning activities; students are
capable of learning, achieving, and succeeding in a safe, orderly environment
which exhibits high expectations. Recognizing cultural diversity increases
student and teacher understanding, and a positive relationship expressed
through patience and concern fosters mutual respect among students, teachers,
and staff. As parents of Fort's students, you become part of a long tradition
of educational excellence. As you enjoy these years at Fort, we pledge
to work in partnership with you to achieve the best education possible.
