I am excited about the new year ahead for the students of Eddy Middle School. I, along with my staff, am committed to providing a quality education for your student with a focus on academic achievement. We believe in the dignity of each individual student. We accept the fact each student is unique in his/her own makeup; therefore rates of development are different. However, we will strive to challenge your student with meaningful and diverse learning experiences, which will enable him/her to master basic skills and to meet high expectations in an environment of mutual trust and respect.

We want to provide all of our students with a quality school life by encouraging them to become involved in various school activities that are of interest to them. We encourage parents and students to become involved in the total school program. Please allow me to remind you that all rules and regulations are stated and explained thoroughly. It is the responsibility of each student and parent to intensively familiarize themselves with them.

I sincerely hope that this year brings about a change--one in which your student will believe and embrace that high expectations, a positive school climate, home, parent and community involvement, positive leadership, ongoing assessment, and availability of technology affect student achievement.

Parent Involvement

The Parent Coordinator schedules several workshops annually. Topics include test-taking skills and reading recovery. The coordinator visits, conferences by telephone, and provides current literature.
