Message from the Principal 

The student body and the faculty and staff of Jordan are proud of our rich traditions and history that have made our school one of the most successful comprehensive high schools in the area. We offer students a diversity of opportunities that will allow them to prepare to meet their future goals at any level. We extend to all students a sincere welcome and hope that we have a positive impact on their educational experience and their life in general.

Special Programs

Muscogee County Career Academy will extend advanced technical skills and post-secondary opportunities for a variety of career pathways to all juniors and seniors in the Muscogee County School District. The career pathways will provide career-themed instruction weaved with academic curriculum as students prepare themselves within a program of study. The career pathways will provide challenging studies that offer work-based learning internships and apprenticeships. Students will receive national and/or state certification upon completion of the course work and successful testing. Students may attend the Muscogee County Career Academy for one of two blocks of study and will remain enrolled at their home school. Parental permission and involvement in student leadership development will be required. Bus transportation will be provided to and from the student's home school. The Muscogee County Career Academy will provide our region and state a viable workforce for the 21st century.

The Muscogee County Career Academy offers the following pathways:

  • Engineering Technologies Academy (Drafting, Welding and Sheet Metal Fabrication, Precision Machining, Masonry, Carpentry, Electrical
    Construction, HVAC/plumbing)
  • Transportation Academy (Automotive Technology, Electrical Systems)
  • Healthcare Science Academy (Patient Care Assisting, Medical Coding,
    Pharmacy Tech, First Responder)
  • Culinary Arts
  • Youth Apprenticeship Program

Parent and community involvement is important to the success of Jordan High. Parents are involved in the PTSA and volunteer in other areas of the school.

The community is involved in a number of activities, from the annual Champion Auto show to working with students in the Career/Technical Advisory Committees.
