Message from the Principal

Wynnton Arts Academy was established in 1837.  The original building was built in 1843 and is still in use today as a museum and art gallery  The National Historic Registry lists Wynnton Arts Academy as the oldest school in continuous use in the State of Georgia.  History is visible throughout the building with antique furniture, books and memorabilia.  Original works of art by local Wynnton alumni artists are on display.

Wynnton Arts Academy is the first fine arts school in Columbus.  All students receive daily instruction in art, music, dance, and drama.  In addition, the arts are integrated into classroom instruction.  Wynnton Arts Academy is a magnet school accepting students outside its attendance zone.
