State Track Winners
During the May Board meeting, several students were recognized for their
accomplishments in the state track competitions.
Girls State AAA High Jump Champion

At the Girls State Track meet May 1-3 in Albany, Veronica Bryant
of Hardaway won first place in the Girls State AAA High Jump
competition. She also placed second in the 400 Meter Dash. Her coach is Garrick
Church. and her principal is Matt Bell. |
Boys State AAA Track Meet
Eric Plump of Hardaway won first Place in the Boys State AAA 100 Meter Dash
competition. Hardaway's
400 Meter Relay Team placed second. Members of the team are John Brown, Terodrick Grier, Eric
Plump, Stephon Sudduth, and Shelby Gregg. Their coach is Garrick Church, and
their principal is Matt Bell.
Christopher Jackson of Carver won first place in the Boys State AAA 200
Meter Dash competition. His coach is Carla McKinney, and his principal is
Chris Lindsey.

1600 Meter Run. His coach is Randy Whitt, and
his principal is Susan Bryant. |
Keith Carey of Kendrick placed second in
Discus, and Janae McKinney was second in the
Long Jump Their coach is Chris Porch, and their principal
is Ed Barnwell
