DOUBLE CHURCHES MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENT
WINS SPELLING  BEE

Orin Lincoln (middle) of Double Churches Middle School won the MCSD Spelling Bee for 2008.  Chandler Garrett (left) of Richards was second, Kashawndrea Jordan (right) of Arnold third.  All three students are eighth-graders.

The contest was sponsored by the Muscogee County School District and the Muscogee Association of Educators. The top three winners will go to the District Six contest in Perry February 23.  The District Six winner will compete in the state contest in Atlanta at Georgia State University March 21.  Each State winner will compete in the National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C., this summer.
