COLUMBUS HIGH WINS STATE AAA
VOLLEYBALL CHAMPIONSHIP

The Columbus High volleyball team won the Georgia AAA Volleyball
Championship by defeating Sandy Springs High. Prior to the
championship game, the Columbus team defeated Oconee County in the final
four matchup. The matches took place November 1 and 3 in Woodstock and
Marietta. The teams record this year was 50-11.
Coach Donna Fleming was named the Georgia AAA Coach of the Year; Terakka
Walker was named the Georgia AAA Player of the Year and was also named to
the Senior All-Star Team and the Georgia All-State Team.
Members of the State Championship Columbus High Volleyball Team are
Senior Terakka Walker, All Bi-City Player of the Year; Senior Crystal
Forman, All Bi-City First Team; Senior Tionna Crawford, All Bi-City First
Team; Senior Taylor Buckner, All Bi-City First Team; Junior Kristen Fleming,
All Bi-City First Team; Freshman Anna Crutchfield, All Bi-City Second Team;
Senior Amanda Hurley, All Bi-City Second Team; Juniors Hilary Hare, Vianca
Torres, and Shacoya Coar; Freshmen Alizabeth Copeland, Ashely Foreman,
Ashley Tompa, and Winnie Kennebrew.
During the December Board meeting, the team members were introduced to
the Board.
