COLUMBUS HIGH RECEIVES SILVER AWARD
IN BEST HIGH SCHOOLS SEARCH
According to the latest U.S. News & World Report, Columbus High is
a Silver Award recipient in the Best High Schools 2008 search. One Georgia
high school earned a Gold Award; Davidson Magnet School in Richmond County
(Augusta) ranks 84 in the Top 100 Best High Schools list in the U.S.
Four Georgia schools won Silver Awards: Columbus High; Dalton High
School, Whitfield County (Dalton); DeKalb School of the Arts, DeKalb County
(Atlanta); and Johnson Magnet, Richmond County (Augusta). Five Georgia
schools won Bronze Awards.
U.S. News & World Report, in collaboration with School Evaluation
Services, a K-12 education and data research and analysis business that
provides parents with education data on
schoolmatters.com, analyzed
academic and enrollment data from more than 18,000 public high schools to
find the very best across the country. The top schools were placed into
gold, silver, or bronze medal categories.
