School Board Appreciation Week
Governor Sonny Perdue has proclaimed the week of March 17-21, 2008, as
School Board Appreciation Week in Georgia. The week-long observance serves
to acknowledge contributions and salute the men and women who are advocates
for children and education.
The Georgia School Board Association (GSBA) sponsors the appreciation week.
The mission of GSBA is to ensure excellence in the governance of local
school systems by providing leadership, advocacy and services, and
representing the collective resolve of Georgia’s 180 elected boards of
