2007 Regional STAR Student

Jae “Jennifer” Seon Yun, a senior at Columbus High, was named the 2007 STAR Student for MCSD.  She was also named the Region 5 STAR Student at a banquet in Columbus in April. Students are selected for the Student Teacher Achievement Recognition (STAR) award based on SAT scores, class standing, and scholastic averages. She chose Tom Perry, her junior year journalism and English teacher, as her STAR Teacher.

Jennifer scored 2290 out of a possible 2400 on the SAT.  She was also named a National Merit Scholarship finalist and was second runner-up in the State Academic Decathlon. She is the daughter of Beoung Kuk Yun and Sun Yang Lee.
