Shaw and Carver Recognized for Outstanding Football Seasons
Both Shaw and Carver had outstanding football seasons this year and
ultimately the two teams faced each other at the Georgia Dome. MCSD Director
of Athletics Charles Flowers introduced representatives of the teams and
their coaches during the February Board meeting.
During their
regular season Carver placed second in Region 2 AAA and Shaw placed third in
Region 2AAA. At the Georgia Dome both teams played a great game and showed
outstanding sportsmanship. Shaw defeated Carver 16-14 and ended their season
as Georgia AAA State Runners-up.
