ROTHSCHILD GIRLS' MIDDLE SCHOOL BASKETBALL CITY CHAMPIONS
Rothschild Middle School Girls basketball team defeated Blackmon Road Middle
School 44-14 to win the Girls Middle School Basketball City Championship at
Midland Middle School on January 20. Their overall record was 14-2.This was
the eighth straight appearance in the city championship game for the
Rothschild girls basketball team, and their fifth win. During the February
Board meeting, representatives of the team, coaches, and Principal Chris Cox were recognized.
Team members are Jaquetta Evans, Robin Grear,
Janai Merritt, Courtney Thames, Lakedrious Stanford, Iesha Bonner,
Chantetavious Crowell, Ashlee Harris, Valerie Johnson, and Gwen Guess.
Mike Green is the head coach, Paul Everett assistant coach. Managers
are Taelor Moore and Arnesisha Williamson.
