NEW APPOINTEE, STATE BOARD OF EDUCATION

The Muscogee County Board of Education and the Muscogee
Educational Excellence Foundation (MEEF) honored Dr. Mary Sue Polleys with a reception
Monday, May 7, in the Wynnton Arts Academy Courtyard. The occasion
marked her recent appointment to the State Board of Education. Dr. Polleys
served as Chairman of the Muscogee County Board of Education from 1994 until
her retirement this year.
Speakers were Superintendent Dr. John Phillips, Board Chair
James Walker, MEEF President Teddie Ussery, and Mayor Jim Wetherington.
Music was provided by the Kendrick String Quartet. Wynnton students
entertained the guests with special music.
