Columbus High Places First
in Division II of the Georgia
Academic Decathlon

The winner of the MCSD Academic Decathlon, Columbus High, placed first in
the small school division in the 2007 Georgia Academic Decathlon. The
competition was held at Berkmar High School in Lilburn (Gwinnett County)
February 23-24. The team, coaches Lina Yates and Jan Carter, and
assistant principal Dr. Marvin Crumbs were recognized at the Board's April
meeting.
There were 11 schools competing in the large school Division I and 11
schools in the small school Division II. Columbus High School placed first
in Division II and third overall.
