competition winners attended the National Leadership Conference in
Nashville, Tennessee, June 29 – July 2, 2006.
Aqura Anderson placed 2nd in Local Chapter
Annual Business Report at the state competition.

competition winners went to the National Conference in Anaheim, California,
June 21 – 25, 2006.
Sandra Hinson placed at the state level and placed
4th at nationals in Extemporaneous Writing.
Natalie Kelly is the Healthcare Teacher and HOSA
Advisor.
Future Business Leaders of America – State
conference was held in Atlanta, Georgia. Hardaway nominated Mr. Don Davidson,
and he was selected by the FBLA state organization as the Region VI Business
Person of the Year. Mr. Davidson is a partner in Delta Data Software Company and
has served faithfully in the following capacities for Muscogee County School
District:

member for approximately 15 years

schools locally
Kendrick High School - Dwight Whitley, CTAE

SkillsUSA – The national conference was held
in Kansas City, Kansas. Several seniors at Kendrick placed at the
SkillsUSA state competition in Atlanta but could not attend the national
competition.
Cheryl Rees, Graphics Arts teacher, was elected
Secondary Director of the TIEGA Board, Trade and Industrial Education, this
summer in Atlanta and also received the Air Force Technology Education
Teacher Award (one of 250 awards nationwide).

Irene Leverett, Business Education
Teacher, was selected as the Georgia Business Education Teacher of
the Year during the Georgia Association of Career and Technical
Educators Conference in Atlanta this summer.
Health Occupations Students of America –
State competition winners went to the National Conference in Anaheim,
California, June 21 – 25, 2006.
Kesha Thomas and Kory Collins placed 3rd at
the state competition in CPR and First Aid.

Distributive Education Clubs of America
(Marketing) – State winners attended the International Conference in Dallas,
Texas, April 30 – May 3, 2006.
Aleksi Reid placed at the state competition held in
Atlanta in Business Law and Ethics Team Event.
Megan Gaddis and Cody Luchner represented Northside
DECA in Texas at the Leadership Academy.
Rem Brady placed at the state competition in
Financial Services.
Deetra Galapon was elected Georgia DECA State
President at the DECA conference in Atlanta and represented Georgia at the
International Conference and was one of the opening speakers this summer at the
Georgia Association of Career and Technical Educators Conference in Atlanta.
Natalie Williams is the Marketing Teacher and State
Officer Advisor and is Vice President for Georgia Marketing Education Board.

Catherine Wade was elected Georgia FCCLA Secretary/Treasurer at the state
conference in Atlanta and represented FCCLA this summer at the Georgia
Association of Career and Technical Educators Conference in Atlanta.
Shirley Cook is the FCCLA State Officer Advisor.
SkillsUSA – State winners attended the National
Conference in Kansas City, Kansas, June 19 – 24, 2006.
Marisa Gray and Haley Lyman placed at the state
level and placed 3rd at nationals in Crime Scene Investigation.

SkillsUSA Advisor.
