MUSCOGEE COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT

PARENT TRAINING IS A STRENGTH OF THE PSYCHOLOGICAL SERVICES DEPARTMENT

Over the years, the staff of psychological services has provided training to parents of students with Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorders, and participated in a Community Support Group for the educational betterment of students diagnosed with ADD or ADHD. Each school  year, approximately 150 parents receive training to assist their children with the effects of ADHD. The staff has determined that evening training sessions accommodate more parents and advertising the training has proven equally important. The school district has developed a resource handbook, "Strategies of Assisting Students with Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorders."
