MCSD Athletic Mission Statement
The County Athletic Department oversees athletic competition for all High Schools and Middle Schools. A strong sports program is a vital part of student life and provides a balance with academics. Young bodies need physical exercise and students also learn to work together as a team in many of the sports which MCSD high school and middle school programs offer.

MCSD Athletic Vision
While the system has moved into the new millennium in terms of technology, academic achievement and athletic success, our facilities and programs have not enjoyed the same success. It is envisioned that the Muscogee County School District Department of Athletics have a unified program for all high schools, middle schools, and eventually elementary schools to monitor the progress of each student athlete in an effort to assure every graduate equal opportunities in terms of achievements in academics and athletics.
