The Sick Leave Bank was established to assist employees who have exhausted their sick and vacation leave due to a catastrophic illness. It is not administered by MCSD; it is governed and operated by the employees of the district. Some employees choose not to join the Sick Leave Bank because they have short term disability coverage; however, some employees with short term disability coverage join the SLB because they recognize the benefits to other employees who cannot afford to pay the premium for short term disability coverage but continue to have financial obligations. The Sick Leave Bank makes it possible for someone in great need to be awarded up to 60 days of pay.
Qualified employees can join through the last day of school Friday, December 18, 2009.
If you are currently a member and wish to remain a member, there is no
action necessary on your part. Your membership automatically renews for another

If you have recently qualified to become a Sick Leave Bank member and wish to enroll, please do so by using the membership form. Please carefully study the plan before making your decision. A copy of the plan is available at each location.
