The winner of the May ABCD Award is Michelle Obert, Instructional Technology
Specialist in the Department of Technology Services. During the May Board meeting, she was introduced to the Board
by Don Cooper, Chief Human Resources Officer.
Michelle was nominated by the staff at Fox, where she is the Instructional
Technology Specialist.
According to her nomination form, she has been an
unbelievable asset to Fox School, as well as the other schools that she
serves. At Fox Elementary, Michelle spearheads the research for software
and technical support. In addition, she goes above and beyond to seek
the best competitive price to get the most with the school system's
resources.
She has been instrumental in building a virtual data
room for Fox. She has gone above and beyond the call of duty to support
all teachers as they incorporate technology in the classroom. She
develops staff development on all levels within the building to meet the
needs of all of the faculty and staff. She assists teachers and staff to
troubleshoot computer problems before referring them to a technician.
Also, she helps them with research on the Internet, and shares her
knowledge and projects she develops with others, not only at Fox
Elementary, but also within the district.
Michelle maintains a flexible, yet highly organized
schedule to meet the needs of the schools that she serves. She makes
even the most novice computer user feel at ease. She maintains a
professional attitude while adjusting her presentation level to meet the
audience she is addressing.
