The recipient of the September ABCD Award is Sharon Pearson,
cafeteria manager at Eddy Middle School. She was
introduced to the Board during the September meeting by Don Cooper, Chief
Human Resources Officer.
Sharon manages the school cafeteria with great efficiency
and pride. She has the students’ best interest at heart as well as the
faculty and staff. She takes great effort in the preparation of food and has
provided refreshments for events, various functions, and the after-school
program. She has been an asset in the preparation and service for everyone
at Eddy. She has a marked concern for nutritional value and caloric
standards when preparing the menus. She makes herself available and is very
approachable. She takes heed to issues and concerns that patrons may have
and is well-respected by her staff. Her area manager said that she is
a strong cafeteria manager and very professional, completing her reports and
working well with the children.
Most visitors comment about the cleanliness of the facility.
The cafeteria was rated 100 percent in the last evaluation from the Health
Department.
