Eli Barber of Hardaway Wins December ABCD Award
“Above and Beyond the Call of Duty”

The recipient of the December ABCD Award, Eli Barber of Hardaway, was
introduced to the Board during the December meeting by Don Cooper, Chief
Human Resources Officer.
According to his principal, he is completely
dedicated to his job and his school. After retiring from the military,
he became an official Hardaway Hawk in 1994. He has been in charge of
maintenance at Hardaway for the past 11 years. No one has ever observed him
“having a bad day.” He is always genuinely nice, respectful, and willing to
help anyone he can, both in and out of the classroom. He handles problems in
a timely and efficient manner. Because of his positive attitude and work
ethic, he is a role model for others in the building to follow. Mr. Barber
is truly a reflection of one who goes above and beyond the call of duty.
