“Above and Beyond
the Call of Duty”

The recipient of the April ABCD Award, Patrick Knopf, a speech and language pathologist at 30th Avenue School, was introduced to the Board during the March meeting by Peggy West, Director of the Program for Exceptional Students.

Patrick Knopf has been a leader in the speech/language Inclusion model and has worked closely with the State Department of Education Programs for Exceptional Students to provide rich language experiences in the regular curriculum classroom. He also works closely with the implementation of Clarity, the IEP program used in Programs for Exceptional Students. He has been an integral member of the team for training and implementation during this first year of rollout to pilot schools.
