Title I Parenting Workshops
Title I Parenting is conducting a series of academic workshops structured
to build the parents’ abilities to help their children do better in school.
Parents are encouraged to attend the next workshop to be held Tuesday,
November 13, from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Columbus Public Library's
Synovus Room. The topic of the workshop will be Using WebAchiever: An Online
Learning Resource for Grades Three-Eight.
Future workshop topics will include
- You, Your Child and Math: Increasing Children’s Math Skills
- You, Your Child and Reading: Increasing Children’s Reading Skills
- Tips for Improving Test-taking Skills
- Preparing for the CRCT
- CRCT Promotion Requirements
While the ultimate goal is to increase student achievement through active
parental involvement, Title I Parenting strives to equip families with
educational resources that will enhance children’s academic and personal
potential. The mission is to help develop students who will become
lifelong learners and who will be able to enter the work force with
necessary skills.
