The mission of the ESOL Program is to ensure the equal worth and dignity of all English Language Learners, making available the opportunity to fully gain access to programs and services provided by the state and local education agencies so that English Language Learners can achieve high standards in both English language proficiency and content mastery, as needed to be successful at the postsecondary level and/or when entering the workforce.

The goal of the ESOL Program is to lead Georgia in improving the academic achievement of English Language Learners.
