The Arts and Humanities Program implements and maintains instruction in the Fine Arts and Humanities (55 schools, K-12), in accordance with district and state guidelines and standards.

The goals of the Arts and Humanities Program are to provide

• in-depth instruction and experiences in the Fine Arts that enrich the lives of the students and which are cross-curricular in nature
• professional development for educators that is both technological and content rich
• recruitment and retention of highly qualified Fine Arts and Humanities personnel in order to provide the highest standards of instruction
• increased parental and community involvement and support in the Fine Arts and Humanities
• experiences that stimulate student interest in Fine Arts and Humanities (performing, creating, and experiencing)
• the ability to appreciate all art forms
• collaboration among Fine Arts and Humanities educators
• full-time art and music services in all elementary schools
