The Arts and Humanities Program implements and maintains instruction in
the Fine Arts and Humanities (55 schools, K-12), in accordance with district
and state guidelines and standards.
The goals of the Arts and Humanities Program are to provide
- in-depth instruction and experiences in the Fine Arts that enrich
the lives of the students and which are cross-curricular in nature
- professional development for educators that is both technological
and content rich
- recruitment and retention of highly qualified Fine Arts and
Humanities personnel in order to provide the highest standards of
instruction
- increased parental and community involvement and support in the Fine
Arts and Humanities
- experiences that stimulate student interest in Fine Arts and
Humanities (performing, creating, and experiencing)
- the ability to appreciate all art forms
- collaboration among Fine Arts and Humanities educators
- full-time art and music services in all elementary schools
