Alternative Philosophy
Muscogee County's Alternative
Education program provides students who need a different educational structure
and environment with the critical knowledge and skills necessary for a
productive life.
Alternative Mission
Academically, the mission
of alternative education is to enable students to perform at grade level.
Behaviorally, the mission
of alternative education programs is to enable students to develop high
character and make appropriate choices for their success in school and
in the larger community.
Adult Education Philosophy
We
believe adult learners want to learn educational skills that empower
them to take control of their lives. We believe learning is enhanced
and motivated by setting personal goals with each student and adjusting
teaching methods and instructional materials to meet individual learning
styles.
Adult Education Mission
To
recognize the worth and dignity of adult learners and to provide free accessible
adult classes that will enable them to acquire the basic skills to perform
successfully in today's workplace while promoting the importance of strong
family foundations and the practice of good citizenship. |
