NATIONAL TEACHER OF THE YEAR AND MCSD TOY 2006 SPEAK
AT BREAKFAST HONORING ALL MCSD TOY NOMINEES 2007


Tuesday, February 27, the MCSD Teacher of the Year Breakfast honored all TOY nominees for 2007. The keynote speaker was the National Teacher of the Year, Kimberly Oliver of Maryland. Dr. Chris Spraggins of Columbus High shared some of his experiences as MCSD's Teacher of the Year for 2006,  The event,  coordinated by Margaret Ingersoll of Human Resources, was held at Downtown Elementary Magnet Academy.

Extending greetings to the nominees were Superintendent Dr. John Phillips, Columbus State University President Dr. Frank Brown, and Teddie Ussery, Chair of the Muscogee Educational Excellence Foundation (MEEF), sponsor of the event. Dr. David Rock, Dean of CSU's College of Education, introduced the National Teacher of the Year.
