Parent-Teacher Associations
in Muscogee County have more than eight thousand members and are active
in every school. Each school also has at least one Partner
in Education. Partners are business or community groups that
help integrate real-life experiences into the academic program and provide
enrichment opportunities. After-school programs, summer activities, and
mentors also add to our students’ education. Many schools have parent-community
involvement coordinators and plan special training and involvement sessions
for families. Among MCSD's
partnerships in the community is our collaboration with Our
House.
The Muscogee Educational Excellence Foundation
(MEEF), an organization of
involved citizens, sponsors grants for teachers and the annual Teacher of the
Year awards. |
